The flexible antenna of 915 MHz microwave was penetrated into the spleen 5 mm above the demarcation line. (b) The antenna was pierced into the parenchyma 2 cm away from the first site along the marked line, until the parenchyma on the resection plane was fully coagulated. (c) The parenchyma was dissected by a harmonic scalpel along the pre-coagulated plane. (d) The specimen (3.7 cm × 3.2 cm) was placed in a bag which was removed through a suprapubic incision
